- Fungi can be difficult to identify, and if you get it wrong you can get very ill
- Lots of places, eg Highgate Woods, have a ban on mushroom picking, so try not to get into trouble.

It’s that time of year again when the London Natural History Society have their yearly Haringey Fungus Foray. Sun 30 October 2011. As usual the day starts at 10am at Railway Fields (PLEASE NOTE: British Summer Time ends the night before) and then the group heads off to Tottenham Cemetery, Alexandra Park and Queens Wood or Coldfall Woods before heading back to Railway Fields for a fry up! If staying for the whole day, please bring a packed lunch. It is useful to have your own means of transport between sites, although not essential as there is often room for people to share cars.
